West Van lets its hair down

TWELVE HOURS of every
imaginable community fun
activity is the menu prepared
for West -Vancouver's
Community Day § this
Saturday, June 5.

It kicks off officially at 6
a.m. with the start of the
Fishing Derby at Dundarave
Pier, by Capilano
Rod & Gun Club.

This year’s Community
Day is dedicated to West
Van's many volunteers,
saluted with the slogan for
the day, “Hats Off To
Volunteers”. A_ special
breakfast m them honor
takes place at St.
Choistopher’s Church, 11th
and Inglewood, at 8 a.m.

After that, the | prand

with its marching
bands, floats, children on
decorated bicycles, per-
forming groups and a host of
other attractions. The
