The pop- ular three on 3 tournament has been a favored hot spot for hun- dreds and is now gearing up for its fourth year. t i nae ae Buadde esr ea it happens August 19 to 22 on the roof top deck at Park Royal Shopping Centre -The Slam Three on 3 by the Sea. One reason for its popularity is the huge prize pool. With prizes and give- aways totaling $15,000, The Slam is Vancouver's largest prize pool 3 on 3 basketball tournament. First place teams in each division will walk away with a $500 Adidas prize pack. Second place teams net a $250 Superstar gift certificate. Third place win- ners score a $120 team Rogers gift certificate. And each fourth place winner receives a Siam / Hangers water bottle. Skills com- petitions add a new twist to this year’s tourney and are open to both players and spectators with prizes provided by Eaton’s. The tournament is open to boys and girls 10 years and up, with both recreational and topflite divisions for players 19 years and older. Referees in every division ailow for serious fun, fair and safe. The cost of registration is $80 per team - that’s 4 days of fun for just $20 per person. Every player will receive a Slam registration package including an official Siam t-shirt. Slam entry forms can be picked up at Park Royal or any Superstar location.
