Info sought in heist of
Squamish native artwork

THE North Vancouver RCMP is seek-
ing information about a native artwork
heist that occurred in early December.

Five masks that were carved more than) 100
years ago by August Jack Kitsilano were stolen
trom one locker after a break-in ata public storage
business located near the Second Narrows Bridge.

The Squamish masks have sentimental value to
the owner, who :s offering a “substantial” reward
for their return.

North Vancouver RCMP Const. Heidi
Hoffman said 23 lockers were broken into during
the incident, which occurred during the night
berween Dee. 10 and Dee. ET.

Anyone with information is asked to call North
Vancouver RCMP Const. Tony Farahbakhehian at
985-1311.

Callers are asked to refer to the case's file num-
ber: 98-421 12.
