Bogus canvassers soliciting money BOGUS CANVASSERS are currently knocking on North Shore doors selling plastic sandwich bags and advising residents that all proceeds are going to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada. North Vancouver RCMP are advising residents that the MS Society has confirmed they do not, and never have, solicited funds through door-to-door canvassing. Police say it appears this particulnr campaign’s proceeds are simply being pocketed by the unauthorized canvassers. Police investigate arson attempt WEST VANCOUVER Police are investigating a report of attemp- ted arson Monday at a residence in the 6000-block of Gleneagles Drive in West Vancouver. Fire accelerants were recovered at the scene. Police say an at- tempt had been made to set fire to 2 garage. The garage was char- red in various areas. Mian falls 35 feet NORTH VANCOUVER Unit Provincial Ambulance Service paramedics and a West Vancouver Fire Department emergency crew came to the aid of a man who injured himself in West Van- couver after falling 35 feet fram a cherry picker Monday after- noon. The worker, who suffered multigle injuries when he fell at a job site in the British Properties, was administered advanced life sup- port, and spinal immobilization procedures were initiated on the scene.
