Scholarships awarded

THE NORTH Vancouver-based West Coast Amateur
Musicians Society has awarded two scholarships to a
music camp this summer.

Stephani Custer of Vancouver and Tonya Tolmi of
Chilliwack are the winners of a full scholarship to at-
tend a family music camp running this week until July
26.

Available to young musicians who shuw 7 talent for
music and a willingness to further their studies, the

scholarships give young musicians a chane: to study
under skilled teachers.

A member of the Laurier Elementary School Or-
chestra, the Vancouver Youth Symphony Orchestra
and the South Slope Bell Ringers, Custer was selected
for her talent with the violin and will study chamber
music, string playing and bell ringing.
