LYNN CANYON Ecology Centre
wants residents to make a clean
sweep of Lynn Canyon Park dur-
ing the upcoming Easter weekend.

The centre staff has a full
schedule of events planned for the
holiday weekend, including a large
volunteer clean-up of the park, a
children’s Easter egg hunt, a film
showing, an all-day river hike at
Lynn Canyon and a hike to
Maplewood mudflats.

‘*We want to get the
neighborhood involved and we
want it to be fun,” says Debbie
Duncan, the Ecology Centre’s
graphic designer.

She says volunteers, both young
and old, are asked to come to the
22-acre park, bring a friend and
pick up any litter they can find in
the special mapped-out areas of
the park,

Duncan does stress, however,
that volunteers will be requested
not to wander off the trails and in-
to the park alone.

The clean-up starts at 1:30 p.m.
Saturday, April 18 and all partici-
pants are advised to dress for the
weather.
