fixture in the North Shore News, Bob Hunter has

been yelling about the sky falling since way back in the
1960's, and delighting our readers in North and West
Vancouver since 1980.

In his various roles as journalistic enfant terrible,
ecological crusader, author, artist (he did his own comic
book once), scriptwriter and chicken farmer, Bob has
managed to log a lot of time at sea, in the air, and on the

road.

This summer he expects to see his three millionth word

published.

An old-

style peacenik who

nevertheless favours a strong

conventional

military defence, Bob

has been changing with society
over the years. You never quite
know where he will land next. But
then he admits, neither does he.

_ How could it be otherwise? He’s
never been any good at following
the party line, taking orders, or,
for that matter, giving them.

Says Bob: “Let me sit at a
word processor by the side of the
road and be a friend to man...
whoops! Make that ‘humanity’ Just
trying to stay up-to-date, y'know.”
