This subject may seem overwhelming, but these lec- tures will answer your ques- tions and help you get started. The lectures start at 1:30 p.m. and are held in three locations. Lawyer Tom Hodson will speak on Wednesday, May 22 at Silver Harbour Centre, 144 East 22nd Street, North Vancouver. John Lakes will speak on Thursday, May 30th at North Shore Neighbourhood House, 225 East 2nd Street, North Van- couver. June Laker will speak at the West Vancouver Senior Centre, 695 - 21st Street, West Vancouver on Wednesday, June 5th. All three lawyers are North Shore residents who donate their time and professional expertise to this educational program. Questions that will be discussed include: What can you do now to put your af- fairs in order?; How can a carefully thought out will help your beneficiaries?; When can you add a codicil and when do you need a new will?; What provisions are made for survivors’ ‘im- mediate financial needs?; What are the considerations in appointing. an executor?; What are the duties of an-. executor/trix?; and What steps are involved in settling an estate?. How to arrange -6 for power of attorney and why it is necessary will be another topic. Although the lectures are free, pre-registration is ad- vised due to limited space.
