A DARING burglar helped
himself to valuables
belonging to a West Van-
couver couple who were
unaware he was in their
bedroom while they slept
during the early hours of
Saturday last week.

A woman in the house in
the 2500 block Queens woke
at about 2 a.m. when she felt
a draught which she found

was coming from the rear
ground floor door, which the
thief had left wide open as he
left.

The burglar had entered
by a porch door on the
second floor at the rear of
the house and took the
woman’s wallet which
contained credit cards and
$25 cash.

In the master bedroom

where the occupants were
sleeping he helped himself to
the man’s wallet, which
contained $25, identification
and a personal cheque.

Anyone who may have
seen any suspicious activities
in the area that night is asked
to call the West Vancouver
police detective office at
922-4141.

BREAK-INS and vandalism
would increase on Berkley
Road if a four unit garden
apartment complex is
allowed to proceed, a
neighbor of the project
warned North Vancouver
District council recently.
