City to get social planner

THE CITY of North Vancouver will soon be getting a social

planner, council decided Monday.

Council voted 4-3 in favor of
hiring a social planner who would
advise the city on impact of
developments on city residents and
who would regulate the city’s -
system: of awarding grants.

“This is one motion I am 100°

got by quite nicely without ‘ a social

He noted that other city
departments were in need of addi-
tional: staff and said he thought
