Sparca gym club expanding

Gymnastics has always
been an important part of
the North Shore Family YM-
CA.

This wimter the “Y” is ex-
panding and offering recrea-
tional and competitive
classes for every age.

Annette Denk, former
gymnastics competitor and
coach in West Germany is
directing all gymnastics pro-
grams with head coaches

Nicky and George Carroll
and a total coaching staff of
twenty.

All coaches are highly
qualified instructors. New on
the team is Fred Brumm,
former coach in West Ger-
many. He ts instructing and
coaching adult men and boys
gymnastics and his goals are
to develop physical fitness
and to promote the enjoy-
ment of the sport to males.

The North Shore Y School
of Dance is expanding their
dance programs for the
winter 1981.

New classes will be offered

for tap. polynesian and
French Canadian Folk
Dance for children and
adults. |

The Polynesian dance

classes will give you a basic
introduction to authentic
fundamental rudiments of
the Polynesian dances, from
Drum Dances of Bora Bora
Tahin, to the Hawaian Hula
and the action dances of
Maon, New Zealand. A very
fascinating course designed
for knowledge, fun and
fitness.

All dance accessones will
be supplied courtesy of
“Polynesian Imports.”

The instructor for the tap
and polynesian dance classes
will be Paul Latta. Latta has

French Canadian Folk
Dance will be taught by
Ceci! Kirovac. Cecil will

teach Manitoba and Quebec

routines.
