NOTICE ts hereby given by the City ef North Vancouver
pursuant to Section 957 of the Mumeipal Act of Batish Colum-
bia. that a Public Hearing will be held on TUESDAY, October 14,
1986, at 7°30 PM. in the Council Chamber of the City Hall, 141
West 14th Street, North Vancouver, BC.. to receive representa-
tions in connectian with the following proposed amendments to
the “Zoning By-law, 1967"

BY-LAW NO. 5700

jo amend the text of the Zoning By-law insofar as tt relates to
residential care facilities, private hospitals. and group hornes.

The amending by-law will define the term “residential care facili-
ly” and will include such facilities, as defined, as a permitted
use in the one-family residential zone. The by-law will also have
the effect of prohibiting the establishment of private hospitals
(including group homes), as a permitted use by means of a suc-
cessful neighbourhood petition.

APPLICANT. CITY OF NORTH VANCOUVER

ALL PERSONS who deem their property to be affected
by the proposed amending by-law have the opportunity to be
heard, in person, by attorney, or by petition.

COPIES of the proposed by-law and pertinent staff reports
may be inspected at the oifice of the City Clerk between 8:30
a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the exception
