top of podium

but in the end, he had

North Vancouver’s Al
Rrown took the checkered
flay of the ‘Two-Hour Enduro
road race ar Mission Raceway
Park last Sunday, after fellow
North Van driver Jack
Zarowny encountered
mechanical difficulties in his
‘quicker car and had to retire
trom the race.

ing to snare a speeder. Anyone
who cares to notice will see

Guess what? This is inten- .
tional: when drivers see police,
drivers check their speed,
which — to a police officer,
anyway ~~ is the whole point.

I once saw Sheriff Roscoe
P. Coltrane catch them speed-
ing Duke Boys with a hair
dryer doubling as a radar gun.
Silly, sure, but them Dukes
sure slowed down.

speeding where kids are

speeding when you can’t han-
dle your car at such a speed

Stupid to be speeding down a
road where visibility 1s limited
bur hazards are not — i.e. a
nite quite side road. Stupid to
be speeding during adverse
weather/road conditions.
Stupid to be speeding where
police are known to set up
shop.
