SMILES WERE the order of the day last month during Capilano
College's spring graduation ceremony at the Sportsplex.

CAPILANO COLLEGE'S Spring
Graduation ceremonies on May 31
marked the close of the college's
25th anniversary year and a new
beginning for the largest graduating
class ever.

The ceremony at the North
Vancouver campus saw the presenta-
tion of certificates, diplomas and
degrees to 668 graduates, including
167 students enrolled in Academic
Studies and 501 in Career and
Vocational programs, A total of 21
Associate of Arts degrees and six
Associate of Science degrees were
awarded.

Michael McBride, of West
Vancouver, was presented with the
Governor General’s Medal, awarded
to the student with the highest acade-
mic standing in a program of two
years duration or more.
