The Ecology Centre, Suspension Bridge, Twin Falls, 30 foot Pool and the park trails are protected by existing and pro- posed plans. An additional 62 plus acres of parkland extends south from the landfill to Highway 1. There have never been any plans to log or develop any part of Lynn Canyon Park. The 1985 Seymour Official Community _ Plan made provision for two potential neighbourhoods on the plateau between the Lynn. and Seymour Rivers. In May 1989 Council decided that development of these lands would be reconsidered as a part of a special review which is now underway. The draft District Official Community Plan recommends study. of the FEASIBILITY of establishing a new road link between Lynn Valley and Inter- River to improve traffic flows and im- prove safety. It does NOT specify a cross- ing location. The North Vancouver ‘Transportation Network Study is present- ly examining this and other proposals. All of this information wili be considered - by Council along with recommendations from the Inier-River Review Committee prior to further consideration of the District’s Officia! Community Plan.
