A motion by Ald. Ernie Crist at
Monday night’s council meeting to
award the community service an
extraadinary grant of $2,331 to
cover the group's operating deficit
from last) year, received no
seconder,

“We should refuse the grant at
this time in accordance with the
Advisory Commission on Com-
munity Services and our usual
granting procedure,’’ said Ald.
Mary Segal.

Council agreed and the request
was denied.

Six per cent of the annual
$100,000 NSIVC services budget is
covered by the three North Shore
municipalities.
