PATRICIA Fraser and her dog Shad (top pic) discovered
a wet way to escape from the heat at Norgate Park. With
temperatures rising into the 30 degrees celsius range,
many North Shore residents wish they had one of these
sprinklers inside their home or office. Although it’s not
quite the Arctic, kayakers in the lower picture find a tittle
solitude off the shore of Ambleside Park. With some
imagination, the apartment blocks double as enormous
frosty icebergs. The sunset reflecting off the windows,
though, makes it clear that West Vancouver is definitely
not the land of the Midnight Sun.
