He was 79. He served as mayor of Lions Bay from its incor- poration in 1970 until stepp- ing down two years ago. North Van, he was employed by Pacific Lime Co. (later taken over by Domtar) and rose tO a management posi- tion with the company until his retirement in 1970. Mr. Stewart is survived by his wife Doris, daughters Dree Broderick and Lynn Cairns, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
