Lassiter * which are both raking in the profits. He says there was some concern when it came thatIdo time for foreign release that — the films would not fare well abroad among viewers who might regard him solely as a — television star. “I’m very happy with High Road and Lassiter. - They made enough money to increase the number of scripts I’m offered and that work in feature films has just gotten better. So I take those as a barometer of what people think,’’ he says. What does the future hold for Tom Selleck? He says he hopes by paying his dues in the business and building up a solid hit like Magnum P.L., that he is gaining a solid reputation which will keep him acting for several years down the road. He does not have any im- mediate plans to diversify in- to writing or directing, although he says he would like to direct an episode of Magnum before the show is taken off the air.
