Sechelt Indian reserve in-
volved thirteen weeks of
intensive training designed
to prepare students to meet
the needs of people of

received instruction in
ethics, responsibility, com-
munication skills, relation-
ships, human growth and
development, nutrition, care
of the home and personal
assistance.

“It was a terrific education
for me as well,” said course
instructor Terry Adler who
was impressed: by her
students’ enthusiasm, hard
work and caring. “I’m happy
they will be able to channel
their care into this type of
service to people.”

assists elderly feople to
remain in their own homes
and the Ministry of Human
Resources’ gid to families in
crisis. Eleven of the Sechelt
‘graduates found jobs almost
immediately while others
waited to apply for work
unfil their children returned
to school, .
