AFTER FIVE consecutive
years of decline, housing
staris in Canada saw their
first improvement last’ year,
according to the 1992 edi-
tion of Canadian Housing
Statistics, released recently
by Canada Mortgage and
Housing Corporation
(CMHC).

The report also shows,
however, that single-parent
families led by women are

be in core housing need than
two-parent households.
