Frank Bolton, 18, Benjamin Nahance, 19, Kyle Nahanee, 18, and Harold Nahanee, 20, are charged with the break and enter of a house at 414 West Ist St. All four men are also charged with assauit with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm. Fire damages home A FAULTY toaster caused a fire that resulted in exten- sive damage to a Delbrook home on Monday, April 26. The North Vancouver District Fire Department {NVDFD) was called to 557 Sitverdate Pl. at 3:45 p.m. Two people were home when the fire started. No inju- ries were reported. The kitchen, living room and dining room ureas of the house sustained extensive smoke damage. The damage is estimated af $55,000, according to a NVDFD spokesman, The spokesman said faulty controls on the toaster caused the toast and the appliance to bura. Police display THE WEST Vancouver Police Department hosts a display at Park Royal North as part of Police Week, 3 national campaign sponsored by the Canadian Associa- tion of Chiefs of Police. . The display at Park Royal North is available for view- ing 9 am. to 9 p.m. on Fridsy, May 14, and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m, on Saturday, May 15, The display will include information on general safety, CounterAttack, Crime Stoppers, the 9-1-1 emergency system, and chitd and senior safety tips. Youth parliament WEST VANCOUVER-Capilano Liberal MLA Jeremy Dalton will be the acting lieutenant-governor during the opening of the 1993 North Shore Youth Parliament to- day. The official opening is set for 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at North Vancouver City Hall, 141 West 14th St. The three-day event is designed to teach and give a first-hand experience of parliamentary participation in the legislative process. The North Shore Youth Parliament will follow the formal B.C. legisiative process in carrying out its three- day mandate. Mitchell said that he and Serwa, while remaining members of the committee, will not be involved in the process.
