Pat's Delmonico combined good savory flavors and a rich cream backdrop, but the lobster meat was slighily rubbery, though still enjoyable. For diners afier more substantial red-meat dishes, Pat’s entree selection includes a Fire Pit and Oven section, in which racks of lamb, filets of mignon and breasts of chicken can be found. The restaurant's wine list ($14 to $30) offers a small but interesting range of bottles from Europe, Australia, Chile, California, Washington and B.C. A half-dozen wines are available by the glass and half-litre. And do not leave Pat’s without at least eyeballing the restaurant's dessert list. The selection is one of the best on the North Shore. Sampled recently by the Table Hopping dessert squad were a buttery smooth Chocolate Torte ($3.75) surrounded in caramel sauce and topped with whipped cream and a mint leaf bow tie, and a slice of Mrs. Miller's Southern Pecan Pie ($2.95) Both were excellent.
