Known as Y-Care, the program helps people suf- fering from heart disease and those with a high risk of coronary problems recover and renew their lifestyle through gradual and safe increases in endurance exer- cise. Current medical studies indicate that regular physi- cal activity reduces the risk of heart disease, and also ardio system suggests that people who exercise may have a lower incidence of repeat heart attacks. Y-Care will run three mornings each week, Mon- day, Wednesday and Friday, starting at 6:45 a.m. and finishing by 8 a.m. The program is supervised by uni- versity-trained YMCA staff and by coronary care reg- istered aurses. .
