to cruise-clong atop the standings
of the Coaches Soccer League's
eastern ‘division after 16 weeks of
play.

In their latest match, the
Goldcaps thrashed Swan Lager 6-0
to post their 12th victory against
only two defeats, with goalkeeper
Roger Smith posting his second
consecutive shut-out.

Olympia winger John Boot led
the way with three goals for the
hat-trick while Jan Giezen, Dave
Seaward and Mark Cassidy each
contributed singles.

Lynnwood Nordic, meanwhile,
stayed close by edging Park Royal
Hotel 2-1 and Norvan Oldtimers
stayed at the top of the western
division table with a 6-1 drubbing
of Coach House Hotspurs.

In other games, Avalon Rangers
nipped Lynn Valley 3-2, Ray
Johnson Plumbing blanked Millers
3-0, Mount Seymour Ravens and
F.C. Germania battled io a 1-1]
draw, and Characters Restaurant
edged Caribbean Allstars 2-1.

THE NORTH Shore Neighborhood House is offering a Level 1 Theory
course in conjunction with the National Coaching Certification Pro-

gram.

This nationally certified course is for the local and school coach who
works with athletes mainly in the six to 16 year age group.

Principles can be applied to older, more experienced athletes, however.

This two-day workshop is being offered Saturday, Feb. 20 and 27, 9:30
a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Participants must attend both days.

The program fee is $25, which includes a manual, and participants are

asked to pre-register.
