Accused pleads before kangaroo court

Y LORD JUSTICE, the hate literature
merchants are after my head again. They
have written to every North Shore group
they could find, asking for support for the Kill Col-

lins Movement.

They have written to the
YMCA, for instance.
‘Boycott Collins and the
News,’’ they yelled. This man
is dangerous and_= socially

irresponsible.

They’ve put Collin’s puls-
ing columns under the
microscope, my lord, and

found that he uses nouns like

‘‘loonies, commies,
pimpleheads, and = nincom-
poops’’. The adjectives are

bad too, being words like
‘idiotic, hatf-baked,’’ etc.

It may amuse you, my
lord, to note that these critics
are skilled in the very arts
they condemn. The prisoner
before the bar 1s seen as
‘tabusive, racist, Sexist,
malicious and inaccurate.”’

This being a kangaroo
court, my lord, | plead guilty
on all counts except the last.
But | would lke to say a few
words before being taken off
to durance vile.

Their letter is proof of
what hes in store for us when
they take over. If you don't
toe the party line, watch out.
Words of the sort mentioned
above will be outlawed, too,
except when rhey use them.

Like Proteus, these people
can change shape at will. But
they'ge the same old gang.

and in a recent incarnation
called themselves the
Aborginal Support Commit-
tee, although | see few
aboriginals among them
Now they call themselves the
North Shore Coalition For
Fair Media, and use a B.C

letterhead.

I can tell you why they are
creeping around back alleys
with knives in their hands,
my lord.

pain in their ass, and gall and
brimstone to their stomachs.
And | am just about the only
media opposition they have.
With the exception of my
fellow rotter Les Bewley, the
mainstream media are either
in league with them or too
lazy to expose what they’re
up to.

The North Shore Women's
Centre 18 in the action,
naturally. That’s why, under
the heading ‘‘Malicious’’, the
letter in question states that
this unspeakable writer
‘‘deliberately muisprinted’’ a
poem from the NSWC
Newsletter. And it was “‘out
of context.”’

Since | do no printing, my

lord, | cannot misprint
anything. They may mean
“*misquote.’” But there was
no misquoting. | gave the

whole thing, and that was the
context. They are stretching
things, too, when they say it
was a poem. It was a piece of
junk headed ‘*Pornography
Separates’’, and contained
lines lke ‘‘Men tf . , women
make love,’ “‘men rape,
women scream,’ ‘‘men
murder, women die.”’

It was another example of
the hate literature” that

human righters pretend to
despise, my lord.

Collins ‘‘talleges’’, they
complain further, that the
main activity of the NSWC is
left-wing propaganda. As
you may know, my lord, |

never ‘‘allege’’ things. | state
them straight. And _ the
NSWC 1s indeed a nest of

The Coahtion whines tur-
ther that the NSWC ts ‘‘non-
partisan’’ and has members
of all political persuasions on
1ts board.
