Van Interest in girls field hockey is growing and the West Van girls field hockey organization is doing their best to see that the new found interest continues. In addition to their annual West Van elementary schools field hockey tournament held every June, this year the West Van club ‘is organizaing a series of field hockey clinics for the novice. Every Saturday morning at Hugo Ray Park from 8:30- 10, the club will hold free, informal instructions for girls who are interested in learning more about the While the club does have a number of sticks and balls, they ask anyone attending who can get a hold of a stick to bring it with them.
