One-stop shop for natural gas

KEVIN Kaser was just
a litele tired this sum-
mer after heiping his
company open its fifth
store.

“It was a lor of seven in the
morning to 11 at night, six to
seven days a week,” said
Kaser, manager of the newest
Consumersfirst location in
North Vancouver.

Consumersfirst is one of
the first stores in B.C, to
offer consumers one-stop
shopping, installation and
service for a new spectrum of
modern natural gas appli-
ance.

The chain’s natural gas
wares include _ fireplaces,
ranges, wall ovens, cooktops,
barbecues, dryers, gas lamps,
patio heaters, furnaces, water
heaters and more.

And Kaser said it just
makes sense to buy the appli-
ances where there are also
installers and repairmen.

“We felt there was an

opportunity to provide end-
to-end service where right
now there isn’t a large
provider of that,” he said.
“Not only do we retail appli-
ances, but we also do all our
own installation and have a
large service centre.”

Aside from the five retail
stores, the company’s head
office, warehouse, call centre
and service centre are on
Annacis Island.

“Right from when the cus-
tomer comes in the door we
provide everything they need.
If they need a kitchen done
we can provide the installa-
tion, whether it’s cabinetry or
