for Lions Gate Bridge

THE BRITISH Columbia
Automobile Association
(BCAA) is offering the public a
view of the options being con-
sidered as part of the Lion’s
Gate Public Involvement Pro-
gram, by setting up the
“Choices”? display in its Park
Royal Service Centre.

“Our location offers ex-
posure to many hundreds of
regular bridge users,’’ said
Park Royal Service Centre
manager Peter Knowlton. ‘The
government is considering a
variety of choices as a solution
to the Lion’s Gate Bridge traf-
fic problem and, as the
motorist's advocate, BCAA
wants to ensure commuters
have every opportunity to con-
sider what effects the various
options would have on them.”’

BCAA is represented on the

Community Focus Group by
BCAA’s Director of Govern- -
ment Affairs, John Ratel, This
group meets regularly to advise
the Ministry on the various
choices for changes to crossing
the Burrard [nlet.

The Ministry of Transporta-
tion and Highways wants
public input before the final
crossing decision is made in
early 1994. This display gives
the public a chance to see and
discuss the options before
communicating their thoughts
and preferences to the
Ministry. °

The infocentre to view the
crossing options is on. display
