Bear charges A NORTH Vancouver man is among a group of people facing charges for allegedly trafficking in bear parts. Sung Kug Seo faces charges under the B. c. Wildlife Act. Seo, Sang Ho Kim of Surrey, David Bilan of Sardis, Bo Sik Se and Bung Ok Jo of Yarrow face the charges . following an investigation by the B.C.. Eavironmeni con- servation officer service in April 1991. The operation uncovered extensive illegal trading in bear galls. . The investigation was jaunched to help preserve pro- vincial bear populations and habitats. Meanwhile, B.C. Environment has increased staffing of its conservation officer service. Conservation officers _ are emphasizing enforcesent against poaching, smugg!- ing and the trafficking of wildlife body parts.
