can pose a delightful dilemma for
those trying ta decide among them.

Tulips, for instance, come in a
wide variety of shapes, sizes and
colors, all perfect for creating spr-
ing-fresh, assorted arrangements.

EXOTIC CHOICES

Try a combination of double-
flowering Angelique, in a lovely,
soft pink shade, combined with a
pure white tulip, like Pax, set off
by a bit of greenery. ~

Or, go for.the dramatic effect of
a solid spray in just one shade,
such as fiery red Prominence of

CONDITION TULIPS

A few simple tricks to condition
your tulips will give them an ex-

First, hold the stems under water
(in a bowl, for instance) and cut an
inch or so off the ends.

Then wrap the bunch of tulips
firmly in newspaper, with most of
the stem sticking out. Stand them
in a cool place, in a container with
several inches of water for a few
