Already it’s receiving rave reviews. The new hotel received a perfect score from the corpo- rate opening team that visited the new facility when it first opened in May — the only Holiday Inn in North America to have achieved that title. The hotel, independently owned and operated by Knightsbridge Properties Ltd., has created approximately 170 jobs since it began construction earlier this year. “We = feature _ first-class accommodations, excellent location and added amenities in the rooms as an added bonus,” said Ehab El-Zanaty, sales man- Sunday, June 4, 2000 - Nerth Shore News - 19 ager of the new facility. Zanaty, who has been with the new hotel since January, previously was employed with the Sheraton Corporation in two Lower Mainland locations — The Sheraton Guildford in Surrey and the Sheraton Wall Centre in downtown Vancouver. The hotel has 162 rooms and suites including two — Arabic and Roman — themed rooms. A third of the rooms boast a full kitchenette. All rooms come equipped with air conditioning, televi- sion, fridge, microwave, irons and ‘ironing boards and’a pair of telephones with voicemail and a data port for high-speed Internet connection. A majority of the rooms also sport two queen-sized beds instead of the standard dou- bles.
