The amendment would not immediately affect the zoning of the area, but would allow rezoning to Comprehensive Development to take place where requested. The public hearing was recessed until April 16. Both Mark Sager and Julian Rutherford, architect for the project, pleaded for special consideration. Sager argued: ‘‘Although | can’t speak for the Dun- because the Dundarave area is not competing :n_ the marketplace, they would welcome anything that would generate business."’ Mayor Derrick Humphreys set the tone for council's stand on the issue stating, “In my view you've got 12 down and four to go.”’ He referred here to the Sager’s originally being told they were 16 parking spaces short on their proposal. “*This resolution (delaying a decision) does not close the door by any means.
