ding the amendment to the
community plan.

The amendment would not
immediately affect the zoning
of the area, but would allow
rezoning to Comprehensive
Development to take place
where requested.

The public hearing was
recessed until April 16.

West Van municpal coun-
cil decided Monday to
postpone a final decision on
the application, which would
see Sager’s Maple Shop at
2423 Marine Drive in the
Dundarave area turned into a
140-seat teahouse restaurant,
until the Sagers could come
up with four more off street
spaces for its daytime
patrons.

Both Mark Sager and
Julian Rutherford, architect
for the project, pleaded for
special consideration.

Sager argued: ‘‘Although |
can’t speak for the Dun-

Mayor Derrick Humphreys
set the tone for council's
stand on the issue stating,
