Royal Jubilee Hospital, Victoria, B.C.
on january 24, 1997, aged 89. Alex
is survived by his foving wile of sixty
years, lsabel; his daugtiter Alexandra
Stowning-Moore (Ravor); son Stuart
(Jean Frescott-Browning); grandchil-
dren, David, Tony, Jason and Jessica;
ang many nieces and nephews. A
longtime resident of West Vancouver
and respected building contractor.
in the 1950's he was responsible for
developing the Eastern Regian of the
British Properties, then known as
Glenmore. He will be remembered
for the many beautiful homes he
built, and in recent yeats for the
grace with which he accepted his
visual iinpairment.

A private cremation was held in Vic-
toria, In Vancouver, a Service of
Semembrance will be held on
Saturday, February 8 at 2 p.m. in
the West Vancouver United Church
Chapel. in lieu of flowers, a dona

Predeceased in 1980 by her hus-
band David. Raised in Edinburgh.
Scotland, Ann lived in Oban, Oxford

Canada in 1981. She leaves to
mourn her daughter Aen and grand-
sons Glen and Lorne v! North Van-
Couves, and he: con Sexhael of Lyme
Regis, England.
