the Port of Vancouver daily at
Canada Place and Ballantyne
Pier as the Vancouver to
Alaska cruise season gets
underway.. Weekly Sunday
coverage in the News’ travel

most Asian cities. Compared with Hong Kong, I have'similar feelings — you feel at home.
You have the harbor here and we have the harbor as well. One side’s the mountains, other
side’s the buildings downtown. —

It's really nice, a good feeling. And skiing resorts, and parks, Stanley Park, are quite near
to downtown. Frem downtown it’s only 15 minutes to a beautiful area. There are parks in
Hong Kong but they’ re relatively smaller and you don't feel relaxed because there are cars

“on the highway, noisy, a lot of people.

Here { see a lot of flowers on the’streets. In most Asian cities we don’t have too much
space for flowers. The air is ‘very fresh.
In a few days you don’t need to wash the shirts! If you go to Hong Kong, mainland
China, sometimes Korea, after one day your shirt’s all dirty from pollution. _

busy with historical walk-

come alive with music and
