Word on garden
coming Monday

RESIDENTS OF North Vancouver will get their
first public indication what’s being proposed for
the Park and Tilford distillery — including the
famed public gardens — Monday night.

A delegation from
Highland Turnkey, the
company that has been in-
volved in negotiations over
the future over the site, is
scheduled to appear before

North Vancouver City coun- °

cil at its regular meeting.
The meeting: will get
underway at 7:30 p.m., with
.the delegation likely to ap-
pear shortly after that time.
It has been almost a year
since the initial announce-
ment that the North Van-
conver distillery would be
closed and it has been four
months since the gardens
were closed. Discussions be-
tween Highland Turnkey
and Schenly Distiileries,
parent company for Park

and Tilford, produced a
sales agreement conditional
on the willingness of the city
to rezone the property in-
volved from
commercial.
