SFU grads receive diplomas

Ten per cent from North Shore

SAYING GOODBYE can often be sad, but it
doesn’t have to be, as Simon Fraser University
graduates found out Saturday when they received
their diplomas, smiles mixed with tears. Working
towards a degree wasn’t the easiest thing these

students have done,

bul receiving a certificate

honoring that work made it well worth it.

About 10 per cent of the
nearly 1600 grads who receiv-
ed academic degrees at SFU’s
graduation ceremonies were

grads, special awards and

scholarships were awarded to
