The apartment of Jim
Houston, well-known North
Vancouver clothier, is the
result’ of taking a fairly
standard design and
customizing wo with the
addition of skylights, copper
faced fireplace. a built-in
aquamum and many other
nice appointments.

Located in central North
Vancouver, Jim wanted a
low maintenance place,
close to work, yet quiet and
pmvate The sunken hving
room leads to a_ large
balcony surrounded by tall
cedars offemng a peaceful
retreat in the heart of the
city

Opening New Doors on

A nice touch in the living
room is an antique wardrobe
which now houses a bar and
the stereo system.

The bedroom is extremely
large with a vaulted ceiling
and windows along the high
wall. At one end of the
bedroom are mirrors
running the entire length of
the room, behind which are
closets

The ensuite bathroom off
the bedroom features an
aquarium built into the wall.

Jim is a classic car fancier
and over the years has
picked up some fine
renderings of his favounte
automobiles which hang
throughout the home
