COUSINEAU ~ Marion Laird
(eee Joyce). Passed away
peacetully, at the age of 66 on
Marcn 31, 2000 at Lions Gate
Hospital after a bret but coura-
geous fight with cancet. Manon,
who recently lost her husband
John, will be sadly missed and
lovingly remembered by son Bali,
daughter-in-law Linda, gtandchil-
dren Jennifer and Alex: san
Bnan, brother Bil and sister-n-
law Barbara of Markhatn, Oniar-
10; sister-in-law Ria Cousineau
of Kelowna; her nephews and
nieces across the country; and
by her many, many friends in the
community. A tongtime resident
of North Vancouver, Marion was
born and raised in Toronto be-
fore moving with “Jack” and the
boys to the Wesi Coast in 1959,
in 1968, she commenced a
lengthy career with Woodwards;
a career spanning over twenty
ears including stops at Parh
loyal, the Downtown store, and
finally the New Westminster
Woodwards watehouse before
retiring in 1992. Let it be said
that Marion was a very special
person. She not only put family
and friends first, but also first,
second and third. Marion’s sup-
ft of others was unconditional,
er warmth, sincerity and kind-
ness unmatched. We were ail
very privileged to have her in our
lives. Marion's family would like
fo acknowledge and thank the
staff of the Lions Gate Hospitat
Palliative Care Ward tor their un-
derstanding and compassion; al-
$0 special thanks to Dr. Mayo
and Or. Lakha - your efforts
meant a lot. Upon her request,
