All the activity is part of a training exercise for members of the naval reserves. Members of Harbour Defence Unit Four will cain this weekend. Another unit will train next weekend. According to a news release, the training exercise takes place in the fictional nation of Chatham. The nation is dealing with an influx of refugees as the result of a conflict with insurgent forces in ths neighbouring country of Vanis. The units will practise securing harbour approaches and assisting local authorities with harbour security. The units will also distribute humanitarian aid and prevent piracy and smug- gling during the exercise. Reservists will be aboard an auxiliary training vessel and six rigid-hull inflatable boats. Smoke markers will be seen during the day and flares at night. Small arms used during the exercise are inoperative and without ammunition. The training will prepare reservists for a joint Canada-U.S. cise to be held in Seward, Alaska, in March. The harbour defence team will sustain surveillance capability and protection of ships during that exercise. 8.10: JANUARY SPEC Bf & ALL LAPTOPS (Used) § 2 Network Hardware (Used) 1 2 Dotmatrix Printers (Used) y & Heavy-duty Keyboard Trays (Used) a & Used Hard-drives (640MB-2.1GB) # Used Monitors 5 # Used Systems | # Office 97 Professional (Student Special $149) f @ Office 97 Pro + Win 95 CD (w/System Purchase) : NEW SYSTEMS: #2 IBM Mil 300MMX : 32MB SD/M1.2GB/33.6k/32x/16Bit Sd/ 4MB PCI | # intel Celeron 300A wiinternal Cache 32MB SD/3.2GB/58k/36x/16Bit Sd/ : 4MB AGP B @ AMD K6 Hi 350MMX 32MB SD/3.2GB/56k/40x/1 6Bit Sd/ 4MB AGP a # Intel Pentium Il 350 64MB ECCRAM/4.3GB/56k/40x/16Bit Sd/4MB AGP 20% off 30-75% off 30-50% off | *45 *56-°145 I from *59 from ‘995 #4995 #200} +585 f $4,315 9 uations with the successful bridge upgrade bidder.
