Kormer WV MP Collins

to lead health association

FORMER WEST Vancouver
MP Mary Coins has been

appointed president and chief

executive officer of the non-
profit B.C. Health Assoc-
iution (BCHA).

Collins was MP for Capilano-
Howe Sound from LO84- (903, dur-
ing which time she served for five
years in the federal cabinet, She
held portfotios in Health and
Seniors, Defence, Western Eeo-
none Diversificauon, Environ-
ment and Situs of Women. She
takes her new position July 25,

BCHA chairman Tony Briglio

Collins’ appointment. In ithe said.
“She has demonstrated her ability
to build strong ang effective teams
and has developed provincial,
national and international experi-
ence, and brings a global perspec-
tive to many of the issues now fac-
ing healthcare and reforms to the
healthcare system.”

Collins replaces the retiring
Herman Crewson.
