sion statistics from March 1991 to
the end of March 1992 show that
165 patients from West Vancouver
and 111 patients from North Van-
couver were treated in the hospi-
tal’s acute-care area ditring that
time, while 111 West Vancouver
and 233 North Vancouver patients
received day surgery at the hospi-
tal during the same period.

The spokesman said the number
of emergency patients and other
outpatients from the North Shore
was unknown, but 230,000 people
use the hospital for outpatient
services in a year.
