NORTH VANCOUVER CITY COUNCIL homes. But Ald. Rod Clark said, *'! don’t believe in) watering down our bylaws when what we are re- ally trying to do is zero in on heritage homes.’ Proposed changes to bylaws af- fecting B and Bs began after two operators living in heritage homes complained that on-site parking requirements of three parking spaces for wo B and B rooms and four spaces for three guest rooms were not practical on their 30-foot lots. They also complained that 110-volt interconnected smoke detectors in cach sleeping room were particularly difficult to in- stalf in old homes. During Monday's meeting, Ald. Stella Jo Dean said specific 13 and B bylaws for heritage homes were necessary. “We must give incentives to people with heritage homes to re- tain them.”” said Dean. Heritage homes affected by any specific B and B bylaw changes will include all primary and sec- ondary homes listed in the city’s heritage inventory. $ CUT YOUR TAXES! $_ Specializing in Real Estate, Sales Peopte & Small Business —* Income Tax Specialists (a 15 Years Experience MOORE HENDERSON ASSOCIATES #202 - 123 E 15TH, NORTH VAN i Sean Moore AK.
