North Shore
cricket team
still unbeaten

NORTH SHORE Cricket Club's
(NSCC) first team defeated An-
za/South Hill's second team at
Memorial Park on July 5.

Stephen Hinkson was outstan-
ding with bat and ball for NSCC,
which is currently undefeated.

NSCC’s second team was also
victorious on Saturday as they
defeated the UBC Occasionals at
Norgate Park in a keenly contested
game.

Hardie Sidhu bowled well for
NSCC, but Salim Nathani was the
game’s star player as he took three
wickets and scored 35 not out to
ensure Victory for his team.

NSCC’s third team lost to the
Vencouver Juniors on the same
day at Lower Brockton despite a
fine batting display by Graham
Matthew and Peter Sahai.

Skipper Chris Goodwin scored a
sparkling century for the Juniors.

On July 6, NSCC's third squad
redeemed itself when it travelled to
Seattle and defeated the home
team.

The North Shore team was two
fer four when replying to Seattle’s
score of 113, but Salim Nathani
and Jim Matthew took the score to
96 before being dismissed.
