Problem party season

THE FIRST weekend of
sunshine in a while gave
West Vancouver a taste of
its annual problem of unruly
parties unusually early in the
year, last weekend.

Pohce were called to two
locations of the municipality
late Fnday-early Saturday by
neighbors of addresses
where partygoers got out of
hand

A small pathemng at a
home ino the SSOO) block
Manne Dmve was invaded
by a rowdy crowd deter
mined to start them own
party there

Twice the tnavaders were
locked oul but persisted to
try to crash the house

Polwe made four arrests
there and laid hquor charges
against several other people
A juvenile was capected to
be charped with assault asa
result of a rock being thrown
ata pole officer

OMfioees stayed al the

scene for about an hour until
around | a.m

At 1:30 am police were
called about a fight which
was occurmng outside a
home where a party was
being held in the 1200 block
Duchess.

Once again the problem
arose when uninvited guests
crashed the party. which was
being attended by about SO
people

A fight broke out in the
street and the vard atea of
the home and oa young
woman became involved and
was struck on the head by a
wooden stick
