Support group holds garage fundraiser THE NORTH Shore branch of the Friends of Schizophrenics is holding a fundraising garage sale on Saturday, May 9 from 10a.m. to 2 p.m. Proceeds from the event will help support the non-profit organization’s mandate to pro- vide support services to people who have been stricken with schizophrenia and to supply in- formation about the disease to the public. Van architect, condo tower win design awards A NORTH Vancouver ar- chitect who designed the Grandstand at the Town Centre Park Stadium in Coquitlam has received an honourable mention in the Lieutenant-Governor of B.C. Medal in Architecture design awards.
