Watt will be responsible for marketing VSY services to inter- national shipowners, with par- ticular emphasis on work that can be done on the Panamax floating dry dock, currently docked at Versatile Pacific Shipyards Inc. (VPSI) in North Vancouver. Watt has an extensive background in the marine in- dustry. He has served a marine engineering apprenticeship at Hall Russell Shipyard in Aberdeen, Scotland, which was followed by several years of deep sea service with Alfred Holt (Blue Funnel Line) where he obtained his chief engineers ticket. . He then worked at Taikoo Dockyard in Hong Kong where he held various positions, including chief administrator and marketing manager, before coming to Canada in 1981 as vice-president of marketing for VPSI.
