OUTSTANDING DESIGN and quality construction were vecognized by the leaders of the housing in- dustry at the fifth annual British Columbia Housing Awards recently presented at the Canadian Home Builders’ Association of B.C. convention in Whistler. The Molnar Group, one of Vancouver’s largest multi-family builders, took a remarkable three first prizes for The Lido, a beautiful 148-unit, river front condominium project in New Westminster: Best Multi-Family Project over $140,000 per unit, Best Marketing Catnpaign, and the Grand SAM Award for outstanding sales and mar- keting achievement. Andre Molnar of The Molnar Group, accepting the trophies, noted, ‘‘It is an houor to be selected for these prestigious awards,’’ and acknowledged the valuable contributions of the Molnar team. The winner of this “‘New Home Warranty’’ sponsored award, was Parklane Homes of Burnaby. Quadrant Development of Vancouver took first place for outstanding Contribu- tion to the Environment, with their construction waste recycling program at their Connaught Estates project on West 13th Avenue in Vancouver.
