Lynas school | opening delayed CONSTRUCTION DELAYS have put back the openirg of Dorothy Lynas Elementary Schoo! in the Seymour area to September 1990. “It really is unfortunate that these delays have occurred. Our original intention was to hav2 the school open this September,’’ remarked North Vancouver School Board chairman Don Bell at the Tuesday night meeting. Various problems with the contracting of the project and clear- ing of the ground, along with difficulty in securing guaranteed construction crews, were translating to an estimated completion of the school in January or February of 1990. According to acting school superintendent Patrick Bell, parents, staff and administrators have agreed that it would be better for future Dorothy Lynas students to start and finish the year at Sherwood Park Schoc!, rather than move half way through. «
