STRIKES AND spares will mean dollars for special children as the Bowling Proprietors’ Association of B.C. (BPABC) launches its first B.C. Bowls for Kids event. From Jan. 18 to 24, par- ticipating bowling centres will be sponsoring aprovince-wide bowling event, the net proceeds of which will go to the Variety Club. The BPABC, which represents 100 bowling centres around the province, voted unanimously in favor of supporting B.C. Bowls for Kids at its semi-annual conven- tion in June of 1986. Bowlers are invited to pick up pledge forms at any participating centre, then bow! through the week . of Jan. 18 to 24, The higher the scores submitted, the greater the return for Variety’s special kids. _ To add to the: fun of the event, bowlers will have a chance to win a number of prizes including a trip for two to Hawaii (courtesy of CP Air), a 20-inch color television and a video cassette recorder. For each $25 a participating bowler raises the bowler will get another chance at the prize draw.
